Die Drachenschlucht ist eine Klamm unweit von Eisenach.
The Drachenschlucht is a gorge not far from Eisenach.
Der Weg führt durch meterhohe Felswände, die mit Moos und Farn bewachsen und dadurch wunderbar grün sind. Die Felswände rücken immer weiter zusammen, zum Teil bis auf Schulterbreite. Nix für Leute mit Platzangst. Es geht über kleine Brücken und Gitter durch die Schlucht, und unter den Füßen rauscht das Wasser. Idyllisch und bei sommerlichen Temperaturen ist es angenehm kühl.
The path winds through towering rock walls, overgrown with moss and ferns, creating a lush green spectacle. The walls gradually close in—at times narrowing to mere shoulder-width. It is certainly not for those with claustrophobia. The route leads through the gorge across small bridges and metal grates, with the rushing water audible beneath your feet. It is an idyllic setting—and, even in the heat of summer, pleasantly cool.
An manchen Stellen ist das Wasser nicht von Gittern bedeckt und es bilden sich Miniteiche. Dort kann man dann durchaus auch Wasserbewohner entdecken.
In some places, the water is not covered by grates, and small pools form. There, one can certainly spot aquatic inhabitants.
Und ich hatte noch Glück und konnte den Waldbaumläufer dabei beobachten, wie er die Felswände nach Futter abgesucht hat.
And I was lucky enough to observe a Eurasian treecreeper as it scoured the rock faces for food.
Leider war ein Teil der Drachenschlucht wegen Bauarbeiten gesperrt. Schade, aber trotzdem wieder toll, durch diese wunderschöne Klamm zu laufen.
Unfortunately, part of the Drachenschlucht was closed due to construction work. It was a shame, but it was still wonderful to walk through this beautiful gorge again.
